BlackAvenue.org was created primarily for African American men and women who want a targeted social networking platform. Unlike other social networking sites that tailor towards dating, music exchange and connecting with friends; BA's target audience are African American men and women who are looking to primarily exchange their thoughts, ideas, inventions, education and business opportunities. (Not to say that you can't make personal connections on the site, just know we aren't all about that).
I myself had been searching for a place to connect with people of similar interests, education and backgrounds. I finally decided to stop looking around and take it upon myself to create my own site that has all the features that I have been looking for from all the other sites out there and put them all in one social networking platform.

Although BA membership is targeted towards African American men and women, we use the word "targeted" very loosely. Our doors are open to all races, creeds and religion. We just ask that you always respect others the way you would like to be respected in return.
